At RecorderGear, quality and reliability are not negotiable. Every product we sell is backed by our 6-month warranty because we're confident in the engineering and testing that goes into each device. If something goes wrong due to a manufacturing defect, we'll make it right.

This page explains how our warranty works and walks you through the simple process for returns or replacements.


What Our Warranty Covers

Coverage Period: 6 months from the date you receive your product.

What's Covered: Our warranty protects you against manufacturing defects—issues that arise from faulty components, assembly errors, or materials that don't perform as designed.

What's Not Covered: Physical damage, water damage, alterations, misuse, or normal wear and tear are not covered under warranty. If your device has been dropped, modified, or damaged through improper use, warranty coverage does not apply.

Replacement Policy: If your product is found to be defective, we'll replace it with the same model or a comparable alternative if the original is no longer available. We do not offer paid repairs—if it's defective, we replace it.

If Your Product Works Fine: If we test your return and find no defect, we'll ship the device back to you at no charge.


How to Use Your Warranty (4 Simple Steps)

Step 1: Contact Us for an RMA Number

Email our support team at support@recordergear.com with your order details and a description of the issue. We'll respond quickly with an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). This number is required for all warranty requests—it allows us to track your return and process it efficiently.

Step 2: Prepare Your Return

Once you receive your RMA number, carefully package your device in its original packaging if possible. Write your RMA number clearly on the outside of the shipping box—not on the product packaging itself. This ensures we can identify and process your return immediately when it arrives.

Step 3: Ship Your Product Back

Send your device to the address we provide in your RMA confirmation email. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless your product arrived DOA (dead on arrival). We recommend using a shipping method with tracking so you can monitor delivery.

Important: Any package that arrives without an RMA number on the outside may be returned to sender. Always include your RMA number.

Step 4: We'll Evaluate and Respond

Once we receive your return, we'll test the device thoroughly. If it's defective, we'll ship a replacement within 3-5 business days. If the device is working properly, we'll notify you and return it at no cost. You'll receive email updates throughout the process so you always know the status.


Important Details

DOA (Dead on Arrival) Exception: If your product arrives non-functional or defective right out of the box, contact us immediately. We'll cover return shipping costs and expedite your replacement.

Shipping Responsibility: Customers cover the cost of return shipping for warranty claims, except in DOA cases. We cover all shipping costs for replacement devices sent to you.

Track Your Return: We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method. This protects you by confirming delivery and allows you to see exactly when your return reaches us.

No RMA, No Processing: We require an RMA number on every return so we can match your device to your account and process your warranty quickly. Returns without an RMA number cannot be processed and may be sent back.

Processing Time: Most warranty returns are evaluated within 2-3 business days of arrival. Replacements ship within 3-5 business days after evaluation.
