Want your camera to only record when something happens? Follow these steps to set up motion alerts and recording.

Step 1: Tell the SD Card to Record on Motion

  • 16:34 - From the live view, tap Settings, select Device Setting, and tap SD Card Setting.
  • 17:16 - Turn ON the "Alarm Record" toggle. Ensure "Auto Record" is turned off.

Step 2: Configure the Motion Sensor

  • 12:47 - Go back to the main Device Setting menu and tap Alarm Config. Set your Motion Detection Sensitivity.
  • 14:41 - Set your Alarm Interval. This determines how long the camera records after it detects motion.

Step 3: Set Schedules and Phone Alerts

  • 13:25 - Only want motion detection on while you're at work? Set an Alarm Schedule.
  • 15:42 - Turn on Push Notifications to receive an alert on your phone.
  • 06:14 - To view a history of your motion events, check the Message Tab.

If you want your camera to record everything all the time, follow these steps.

  • 16:34 - From the live view, tap Settings, select Device Setting, and tap SD Card Setting.
  • 16:48 - Turn ON the "Auto Record" toggle. Make sure "Alarm Record" is turned off.
  • 17:48 - Turn ON "Loop Record". It ensures that when your SD card fills up, the camera will automatically record over the oldest footage.
  • 18:20 - Adjust the Video Duration to choose the size of the video file chunks the camera creates (e.g., 1, 3, 5, or 30-minute clips).

To ensure your hidden camera doesn't draw attention to itself with lights or beeps, disable these default settings.

  • 11:49 - From the live view, tap the More icon. Tap the indicator icon to turn off the Camera Status LED (no blinking Wi-Fi lights).
  • 12:05 - From that same menu, tap the clock icon to turn off the physical Clock Display (Show Time).
  • 14:09 - Navigate to Device Setting > Alarm Config and ensure the Warning Tone is toggled off so it never makes an audible beep.

To view your camera while you are at work or traveling, you must link it to your home's Wi-Fi router.

  • 00:35 - Phase 1: First, connect your phone directly to the camera's local Wi-Fi signal.
  • 00:58 - Add the camera to the TCAM app while on that local connection.
  • 01:52 - Phase 2: Navigate to Device Setting > Wi-Fi Setting. Select your home Wi-Fi network and enter your password.

Here is how to access your footage without ever needing to remove the SD card from the clock.

  • 08:32 - Tap the Snap or Record buttons while watching the live feed to save moments directly to your phone's camera roll.
  • 08:55 - View those manual phone saves by backing out to the app's home screen and tapping the Photo/Video icons at the bottom.
  • 10:41 - To view continuous or motion-activated clips saved to the camera's memory card, tap SD Files from the live view menu.
  • 19:08 - To erase everything and start fresh, go to Device Setting > SD Card Setting and tap Format SD Card.

Your camera can see in the dark using invisible Infrared (IR) LEDs.

  • 11:38 - To turn night vision on right now, tap the More icon from the live view and tap Infrared.
  • 19:32 - To put night vision on a schedule, navigate to Device Setting > IR-LED Config.
