Great tool!

I had previously ordered and received another similar device but it came with limited instructions, limited help videos and too many lights - if it blinked 2 times it means...1 time it means.... blue light means....red....orange....way TOO difficult to use. I sent it back and after researching via YouTube's and reviews selected this one. Received it, charged it (I bought the wall charger extra - although you can charge it via your computer and probably another charger) and moved the clip to record and IT WORKS PERFECTLY! Can either listen with earphones connected to pen or download to your computer and listen that way. I haven't tried the controller device yet, but I am that will make it easier to listen on the headphones because, just as on the computer, you can fast forward and rewind. I highly recommend this pen. P.S. The first time I used it in a conference meeting I used it as a pen as it was recording. Nice fit, just like a high quality pen!

Discreet Recorder

Clear recording and simple to operate. Only negative is that you should not write and record--the mike picks up the "scratching" from the pen on paper which makes it hard to hear the dialog.

Good voice recorder and hardware playback

This pen has good voice recording and playback when you use the hardware interface. The only complication may be plugging the pen via USB to a Windows computer. While the manual indicates the pen should be identified as a specific type of device, when I plugged in the pen I got the "usb device not recognized" message. After contacting support, they let me know that they do not have any type of windows driver for the pen. If you have no intention of plugging in the pen to a computer then it should work fine.
