It performs its intended function well. My only wishes would be for a power switch so it doesn't alert you when the SD card is out, and some type of mounting option. I ended up repurposing a cup holder to secure it in place, which works fine.

Compatible with Ooma VoIP service
I needed something that would record all calls automatically in an accessible and storable format. This device delivers exactly that functionality. I had initial concerns about compatibility with my Ooma phone system, but it works without any problems.

Requires Outlook/Excel for call logs and has audio issues
This device records calls acceptably but produces an annoying background hum throughout recordings. I can tolerate that. The unit also emits a loud, irritating alert sound when removing the memory card for importing recordings into the Call Assistant software on Windows PC. This noise continues until you reinsert the card. I can manage that as well. Recordings are saved as large WAV files. An option for smaller MP3 files would be preferable, but I can convert them using other software. However, my main complaint is undisclosed requirements not mentioned on the Amazon product page. The software requires more than just Windows - it specifically requires Microsoft Outlook or Excel to do anything with call logs. Call logs cannot be exported without having one of these programs installed. The software also doesn't allow copying and pasting call log text or printing. Without these typically expensive programs, you can only view call logs on screen without any ability to export or use them. I contacted customer support asking about alternatives for exporting call logs and was told to try Google Sheets. That didn't work, and even if it had, using Google Sheets would compromise call log privacy. I then asked if they'd share the call log file format details so I could potentially write code to parse files into CSV, ODS, or another portable format. Their response was simply that there are no other options for exporting to different file types. Overall, I can't rate this device higher than a 2 and cannot recommend it for professional use. Call logs need to be printable or exportable in common, non-proprietary formats for practical use and sharing.

Does what it's designed to do
I notice complaints about audio quality, but this is a telephone call recorder. As someone who records music professionally using Steinberg Cubase and high-end studio equipment, I understand the difference. This isn't studio-grade recording equipment, and it doesn't need to be. For documenting phone conversations, the quality is perfectly adequate.

Operates effectively. The initial instructions were somewhat unclear, but after a few attempts I figured out how to use all the features properly and it's been working well since then.
We ship from St. George, Utah. Orders placed Monday through Friday before 1:00 PM MST ship the same day. Orders placed after 1:00 PM MST or on weekends ship the next business day.
